Invisalign® in OKC

Are you dreaming of a straighter smile? Maybe you don’t want to deal with the hassle or appearance of braces. We get it! That’s why our office in Oklahoma City offers Invisalign to our patients.
How Invisalign Works
You may have seen Invisalign advertisements but might not know exactly how Invisalign works. Before starting your treatment, Dr. Wayman will take impressions of your mouth to create your customized clear aligners. As you go through the process and the position of your teeth changes, you’ll get new molds. While braces use fixed wires to pull your teeth into alignment, Invisalign straightens your teeth by using clear aligners that move your teeth into their new position. This is a simplified version of how Invisalign works, but if you schedule an appointment at our Oklahoma City dentist office, we can explain the process in more depth.

Benefits

While an improved smile for cosmetic reasons may be the most obvious benefit of Invisalign, there are many other reasons to consider this option. Other benefits of Invisalign include:

Better dental hygiene

Invisalign allows you to remove your aligners and care for your teeth as usual, whereas braces do not. With traditional braces, pieces of food and plaque often get stuck around and inside the brackets.

Fewer office visits

With traditional braces, you’re going to spend a lot more time at the orthodontist. With Invisalign, you'll be visiting the dentist less frequently, and the procedures won’t be as invasive.

Consume any type of food or drink

Because the wires on braces can break or pop off, certain foods should be avoided. With Invisalign, you don’t have this problem as you can remove your aligners.

Shorter treatment period

Traditional braces treatments typically take between 16 months and 18 months. But it’s not uncommon for someone to have braces for up to two years. With Invisalign, the treatment only lasts about a year.
